HOTEL KANSAS CITY
Social media content creation for a luxury hotel.
Hotel Kansas City is located on 13th and Baltimore and sits in the beautifully renovated KC Club, a 100 year old building rich in Kansas City history. Like many hospitality projects of 2020, their opening was pushed back many times due to Covid and consequently our social rollout plan needed to adjust. We launched the social channels of a brand new property with only a handful of owned assets, no access to the property, and zero potential for a produced photoshoot.
We launched Instagram and Facebook with some branding elements and a curated image selection that set the vibe for the hotel, restaurant and bar. We curated mood boards from our interior design partner, Simeon Deary, to showcase the luxe finishes and thoughtful details they incorporated into every aspect of the property. We sleuthed through historical archives online to peel back the layers on what Kansas City represented in the 1920s and contacted local partners to gather behind-the-scenes and work in progress content. I worked with our strategists to establish the content themes for the channels, and then art directed, designed and sleuthed 6 months of content for the hotel.
